HOME-MADE JUICE FAIR


1. Kids Fun Animal Juice
  • 1 orange
  • 1 apple
  • Watermelon Chunks
  • Handful of strawberries
Peel an orange so that the skin stays in one long piece. Cut the apple and orange into segments and juice. Pour into a glass and decorate it glass to look like an elephant by using the orange peel for a trunk and two large round slices of orange to form an elephant's ears.

For the second glass of Animal Juice, juice the watermelon chunks and strawberries. Pour into a glass and decorate the glass to look like a pig with strawberry pig ears and nose.

2. Citrus Blast Off
  • 1 grapefruit
  • 2 oranges
  • 2 tangerines
  • ¼ oz liquid ginseng
Peel and cut the grapefruit, oranges and tangerines into segments and juice.

3. Kiwi Energy Burst
  • 4 oz. of green grapes
  • 3 kiwis
  • 1 orange
Cut the kiwis into wedges. Peel the oranges and cut it into segments. Juice all of the ingredients.

4. Liver Cleanse
  • 2 Pink Grapefruits
  • 1 Lemon
  • 1 Lime
  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
Peel and cut the pink grapefruits, lemon and lime into segments and juice

5. Pineapple Delight
  • 1/2 pineapple
  • 2 apples
Peel the pineapple, core the apples and cut the fruit into sections. Juice everything in the order given in the ingredient list.

6. Vitamin C Health
  • 1 pineapple round
  • 3 - 4 tangerines or oranges
Cut the pineapple round into strips. Peel the tangerines or oranges, leaving on as much pith as possible, and cut into segments. Juice the ingredients and keep that cold you feel coming on at bay.

7. Orangy Tangerines
  • 4 Tangerines
  • 4 Oranges
  • 1 Lime
  • ½ Organic Orange Skin
Peel and cut the tangerines, oranges and lime into segments. Juice all of the ingredients.

8. Really Red Juice
  • 1/2 beet with the greens
  • 3 to 4 medium sized apples
Cut the beet and the apple into narrow wedges and process them in the juicer.

9. Kidney Flush
  • 2 Apples
  • 3-5 Watermelon pieces with rind
Cut the apples into narrow wedges and juice with the watermelon pieces.

10. Energetic Cocktail
  • 6 carrots
  • 2 oranges
  • 1 apple
  • 1 stalk celery
  • 1 slice lemon
Peel the oranges, core the apple and cut into sections. Juice everything in the order given in the ingredient list.

11. Apple Pie Juice
  • 4 large sweet apples
  • 1 large carrot
  • ½ tsp of cinnamon
  • ½ a tsp of nutmeg
Sprinkle the cinnamon and nutmeg into your juicer. Juice the apples and carrot. Drink immediately and enjoy fresh apple pie in a glass.

12. Urinary Tract Repair
  • 2 Apples
  • 1/2 cup Cranberries
Cut the apples into narrow wedges and pit the cranberries. Juice with your home juicer.

13. Lip Smacking Cocktail
  • 2 apples
  • 3 carrots
  • 1 stalk celery
Core the apples and cut into sections. Juice everything in the order given in the ingredient list.

14. Tropical Juice Flair
  • ¼ of a pineapple
  • 1 mango
  • 1 medium tomato
  • 1 ½ ounces of rum (optional)
Remove the skin of the pineapple and cut into pieces. Peel the mango and cut into spears. Juice the pineapple and mango pieces with the tomato. Place the juice in a sealable container and add the rum if desired. Shake the juice thoroughly and pour into glasses

15. Allergy Enemy
  • 1 Apple
  • 1 Pear
  • 1 cup Pineapple cubes
Cut the apple and pear into pieces. Combine apple, pear and pineapple cubes in your juicer.

16. 4 Fruit Juice
  • 3 slices of pineapple
  • ½ an orange
  • 4 strawberries
  • 1 bunch of red grapes
Juice the pineapple first. Peel the orange and cut into pieces then juice with the strawberries and grapes. Stir and enjoy!

17. Sparkling Fruit Juice
  • 1/2 mango
  • 1 orange
  • 1 kiwi
  • sparkling mineral water
Peel the mango, orange and kiwi. Cut them all up into pieces and process in your juicer. Pour into a large glass and fill to the top with sparkling water to enjoy this sparkling treat.

18. Celery Grape Juice
  • 1 bunch of grapes
  • 2 celery stalks
Cut the celery into smaller sections and juice with the grapes. You can top this tasty juice with fresh mint leaves.

19. Melonade
  • 1 lemon
  • ¼ watermelon
Peel the lemon and cut the rind off of the watermelon. Cut both into pieces and juice.

20. Nectarine Blend
  • 1 orange
  • ½ cup of raspberries
  • 1 nectarine
Peel the orange and cut into sections. Pit the nectarine and section. Juice the ingredients in your juicer.

21. Celery Lemon Delight
  • 2 lemons
  • 1 handful of celery leaves
  • 1/2 cup raw sugar
Peel the lemons. Juice the celery leaves, then the lemons. Stir in sugar, and add water to make a quart. This is best served over ice.

22. Bluecherry Juice
  • ¾ cup blueberries
  • handful of cherries
  • 1 apple
Pit the cherries and cut the apple into pieces. Juice together and serve.

23. Tasty Digestive Juice
  • 1 apple
  • 2 thick pineapple slices
  • ½ papaya
Cut the apple into pieces. Deseed the papaya and scoop out the fleshy fruit. Remove the skin of the pineapple and cut into sections. Juice together

24. Pineapple Wheatgrass
  • 2 cups fresh pineapple
  • 1 orange
  • 1 papaya
  • 2-3 inch round of wheatgrass
Peel the orange and cut all of the fruit into sections. Juice the ingredients, stir and enjoy a little taste of Hawaii

25. Pomegranate Punch
  • 1 pomegranate
  • 1 orange
  • 1 pineapple ring
  • 1/4 lemon
  • Gingerale
Peel and cut the orange and pineapple into sections. Juice all of the fruit and combine with gingerale.

26. Tropical Passion Wheatgrass
  • 2 kiwis
  • 1 guava or papaya
  • 1 cup cubed pineapple
  • 5 strawberries
  • 1 orange
  • 3-4 inch round of wheatgrass
Peel kiwi, guava, and orange, cut into sections. Combine all fruit and wheatgrass in your juicer and serve slightly chilled.

27. Sunset Cocktail
  • 2 apples
  • 1 medium beet
  • 1 orange
  • 3 carrots
Peel the orange, and then cut the orange, apple and beet into sections. Juice in the order given in ingredient list

28. Be a Peach
  • 2 peaches
  • 1 pear
  • 1 apple
Remove the pits from the peaches, cut all ingredients into sections and juice!

29. Yummy Apple Juice
  • 2 sweet apples
  • 4 large carrots
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 4 jicama spears
Cut all of the fruits and vegetables into sections. Juice the apples and the carrots. Next, juice the red bell pepper and the jicama spears. Mix and enjoy.

30. Lemon and Lime Gingerale
  • 1 apple
  • ½ inch fresh ginger
  • handful of grapes
  • 1/4 lemon
  • 1/2 lime
  • sparkling mineral water
Remove the grapes from the stem and cut the apple into sections. Juice the apple and ginger together, then juice the rest of the fruit. Pour the juice in a large glass and fill to the top with sparkling water and serve with ice.

  • 4 Mandarins
  • ½ lemon
  • 1 tbsp honey
Peel lemon and cut all of the fruit into sections. Juice the fruit, and add the honey after.

  • 3 oranges

55. Slimming Cocktail
  • 1 cup red cabbage, packed
  • 1/2 pineapple
Peel the pineapple and cut into sections. Juice the cabbage and then the pineapple. Drink this juice right away for the best flavor.

56. Delicious Fruit Juice
  • 1/2 pineapple
  • 1/2 slice lemon
  • 1/2 cup fresh cranberries
  • 3 tablespoons raw sugar
Peel the pineapple and juice everything in the order given in the ingredient list. If you'd like, add the sugar to the juice and stir.
57. Lemon~Lime Ginger Ale
  • handful of grapes
  • 1 apple, cored and sliced
  • ½ inch fresh ginger (less if you find the taste too strong)
  • 1/2 lime
  • 1/4 lemon
  • sparkling mineral water
Remove the grapes from the stem. Juice the apple and ginger together, then juice the rest of the fruit. Pour the juice in a large glass and fill to the top with sparkling water and serve with ice.

Creamy Mustard Salmon


Ingredients:

2 portions of salmon steaks,
4-5 mushrooms,
Mustard,
Small packet of double cream,
Salt & pepper.

Preparation:

Wash and dry the salmon. Season with salt and pepper. Arrange in an ovenproof dish with the sliced mushrooms. Mix 2 tbs. mustard with the cream and pour over salmon and mushrooms. Cook in a preheated (200C) oven for about 20 minutes. Serve with boiled potatoes and a salad.

Almond Biscuit Ring


Ingredients

1/4 c. granulated brown sugar, replacement
2 tbsp. diatetic maple syrup
2 tsp. reduced calorie margarine
2 tsp. water
1/3 c. almonds, coarsely chopped
1 (8 oz.) tube refrigerator biscuits


Method:

In a 1 1/2 quart microwave safe casserole, combine the brown sugar replacement, maple syrup, margarine and water.
Cover with a paper towel and microwave on high for one minute.
Allow to sit, covered for one minute, then stir to mix in the melted margarine.
Stir in the almonds.
Cut each of the biscuits into four pieces.
Roll each piece into a ball. Dip each piece into the syrup mixture then place in a microwave safe ring mold.
Arrange all coated balls uniformly around the ring mold.
Pour any remaining syrup over the balls in the mold.
Microwave on medium (50% power) for 5 to 6 minutes, turning the mold 1/4 turn after each two minutes.
Remove from oven and immediately cover with waxed paper.
Allow to sit undisturbed 5 minutes; then turn out onto a serving dish.
Divide into 10 servings.
About 80 calories per serving.

Fruit Scones Recipe


Ingredients: 

350 g wheat flour
250 grams of flour and bran
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 package dry yeast
1 tsp. sugar
100 ml of milk fat content of 6%
2 sour apples
2 tbsp. l. lemon juice
250 g low fat cottage cheese
100 g margarine for baking
2 eggs
2 tsp. salt
100 g ground hazelnuts
a handful of dried apricots, prunes, pitted, peeled pineapple crisps and pine nuts
100 ml of milk fat content of 0,5% 

Preparation: 

Combine flour, cinnamon, yeast and sugar. Pour fat milk, knead the dough. Let stand for 20 minutes. Soak dried fruit in cold water. Apple peel and core grate, mix with lemon juice. Melt margarine. The batter add the cottage cheese, margarine, eggs, salt, ground hazelnuts, grated apples and salt. Knead thoroughly. Let stand another 20 minutes. Make 20 round buns, put on a greased and floured baking sheet. Give the buns rise for 15 minutes. Heat oven to 180 degrees. Dried fruits recline in a colander, dry paper towel. Arrange the dried fruit and pine nuts on the buns, lightly pushing them into dough. Lubricate the rolls low-fat milk. Bake in oven for 50-60 minutes. During baking, regularly lubricate the surface of the rolls with milk.

Goan Hot Prawns Pickle-Style



Ingredients

500 gram(s) headless fresh prawns shelled, divined and cleaned
4 onions finely chopped
4 tomatoes finely chopped
2 green chillies deseeded and chopped
1 sprig curry leaves
4 tablespoon(s) oil
Salt, sugar and vinegar to taste
Grind to a fine paste
2 dry red chillies preferably Kashmir
1 teaspoon(s) black peppercorns
1 tablespoon(s) mustard seeds
2 teaspoon(s) cumin seeds
½ teaspoon(s) turmeric powder
1 tablespoon(s) ginger-garlic paste
1 tablespoon(s) vinegar or as per taste

Method

Rub the prawns with some salt and a pinch of the turmeric powder. Keep aside for 5 minutes, wash well and drain. Rub the ground paste into the prawns and keep aside till required for further use.
Heat the oil in a heavy-bottomed pan and drop in the curry leaves. Add the chopped onions and sauté on medium heat for about 3 minutes or till the onions are light brown. Add the tomato pieces and fry till the oil leaves the sides.
Add the prawns along with the marinade and stir-fry briefly. Add the chopped green chillies, salt, sugar and vinegar to taste. Mix well. Cover and cook on low heat for about 10 minutes or till the prawns are cooked and the oil starts floating on top.
